THIS VERSION WILL CRASH UNDER 10.3.x, but getting something out is better than nothing at all.
It’s a beta because I lack confidence. Oh, and because the help docs aren’t done. And there could be boogzbugs!!

Apparently, there are some issues with the 0.5 beta builds under 10.3.9 that I let a few people test out. Issues as in crashes. I fixed the initial one, which was a framework I needed to weak-link (Quartz.framework for PDFKit under 10.4), but now it’s crashing on launch in nib loading. I thought it might be my custom window, but changing the nib to use a normal NSWindow has no effect, either.
Unfortunately, I don’t really feel like doing serious debugging on Paparazzi! under 10.3.9 through other people (I don't have a working 10.3.9 machine at the moment as my TiBook is dead), which means I may just have to scrap 10.3.9 support earlier than I thought. Looking at my Web logs, around 10% of the users (who still have version checking on) are still using 10.3.x, but I can't help feeling a little bad about dropping support if I do so.
Almost ready for release; I just need to make sure I didn’t break anything.
I’m sorry for being AWOL (especially from #camino and all of that).
I’m checking my mail again, so if you mailed me in the past month and haven’t received a reply, you should be getting one in the next few days. If you don’t, and still need a response, please write me again!
I don’t hate you! I just have a bad habit of holing up for a while sometimes.
I’m sure I’m not alone here: I realized today that I’d actually buy music from the iTunes Music Store if it wasn’t DRM-encumbered.
Sorry I've been MIA for the past month. I blame my new World of Warcraft addiction coupled with a need to just get away from all responsibility for a while.
Anyhoo, I'm going to be making a list of the things I need to make sure I have done for Paparazzi! 0.5, get those done, and release. I need to remind myself that it's not a 1.0 so it doesn't need to be absolutely perfect. (Plus, “good developers release,” which I’m not very good at.)
I finally started using Subversion for Paparazzi!, too (took all of 5 minutes).
(This post is probably a little disjointed as I’ve only just started my day.)
Yay!!
My life, however, is soon to be over: My brother bought World of Warcraft for me.
Yeah.
Writing Apple Help stuff is easier than I thought.
I've been reading a lot about NetFixer lately (I will say right off the bat that I am positive it does not suck, though I haven't used it myself). One of the things people keep bringing up is how it’s so awesome!!! that NetFixer comes with a bookmarklet that lets you capture the URL from your browser. This kind of irritates me, and only serves to prove to me that users really don't read release notes.
Here’s your frickin’ bookmarklet:
javascript:window.location='paparazzi:'+window.location
(I'd linkify it but Vox won’t let me. Also, I tried to post to the TUAW post about this, but I never received my verification e-mail.)
